Simonsbath House is a 350 year old country house hotel overlooking the beautiful Barle Valley within Exmoor National Park on the DevonSomerset border. We offer the perfect location for friends and family to enjoy a relaxing break or for couples looking for a romantic retreat. We are pleased to provide guests with information on the spectacular walks over the magnificent Exmoor countryside and coastline and offer a warm welcome on your return with roaring log fires, excellent food and a well stocked bar. Our 10 rooms are individually designed and decorated, each with their own unique character and stunning views of the Barle Valley, all fitted with luxuriously comfortable beds, en-suite private bathrooms and all the modern conveniences one would expect including, tea and coffee facilities, toweling robes, fragrant bathroom products, and large televisions. Free wifi is also available in the lounge and bar areas.We also offer 3 self catering cottages of varying sizes which can accommodation between 3 and 6 guests. The Barle Valley Restaurant at Simonsbath House is open for a full Exmoor breakfast and evening meals using local produce wherever possible, guests can chose from the table d'hôte or à-la-carte menu, with a wide a range of wines. Our restaurant is very popular locally and we do strongly recommend that residents make reservations at the time of their booking to guarantee a table. Exmoor's beautiful colours and landscape change with the seasons, so why not enjoy a cool glass of Pimm's in our private gardens overlooking the river during the summer season or relax with a warming hot chocolate in front of the roaring log fires in the winter. Located in the heart of Exmoor at Simonsbath.From the M5Junction 25 (Taunton) onto A358 to Minehead then turn left at Cedar Falls onto B3224 and follow signs to Simonsbath or Junction 27 (Tiverton) onto A361 North Devon link road to South Molton. Take the A399 towards Ilfracombe and after 1 mile turn right, following signs to Simonsbath.
